GENERAL
What is VANCO?

CBCM has partnered with Vanco Payment Solutions to enable online giving/tithing at our church using Vanco's Give Plus platform. Vanco has partnered with churches for 20+ years with over 20,000 faith based customers.
Why do I need a separate VANCO profile/account?

All online giving/tithing transactions are handled through VANCO's financial system outside of CBCM. A VANCO profile is required to view past transactions and schedule recurrent online giving. This profile is for online giving only and separate from your CBCM account.
Can I set up scheduled donations?

You can choose your donation frequency on the Vanco portal. Online giving can be scheduled for one time, weekly, bi-weekly (every 2 weeks, 26 times a year), or monthly.
Can I see a list of all of my past transactions?

By creating an account on the Vanco portal, you can log in and view all your past transactions. Creating an account is not required to give online, but it is highly recommended.
Will I receive a receipt for my giving?

For each transaction, there will be a receipt sent via email by Vanco. All tithing processed online by Vanco will also be included in the annual CBCM offering receipt, distributed in January of the following year.
Are there any fees?

Each ACH (Automated Clearing House) banking transaction is subject to a 1% processing fee, and each debit/credit card transaction is subject to a 2.75% processing fee. All transactions have a $0.45 transaction fee. We ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your tithe to cover these expenses.
What is ACH?

ACH is a Checking or Savings Account transaction. ACH stands for Automatic Clearing House, also known in the past as EFT or eCheck. User will have to enter in their bank account number and routing number in order to give via ACH.
Is there a mobile application?

The GivePlus service has a mobile application that can be used to setup and track your online giving and tithing. Please search "GivePlus Church" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once you download the app, you can search for "Chinese Bible Church of Maryland" either by name or zip code (20853).
What are the descriptions for each fund?

General Fund - Administrative, building related expenses, and operational costs for 15 non-missions related ministries at CBCM.
Missions Fund - For the sending and support of missionaries and missions agencies globally.
Building Fund - To support the construction and renovation of church facilities and the purchase of facilities for the expansion of CBCM ministries.
Caring Fund - To provide assistance and financial aid to church members and others in the community experiencing financial difficulties and other traumas toward wholeness.
Scholarship Fund - To encourage members to equip themselves for full-time ministry and/or spiritual growth of believers.
East Asia Education Support Fund - Working in partnership with local ministries to provide aid to needy students in rural areas.

6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written," He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."
